Kaniya J teaches, takes clients, and has an image to hold up as one of the top stylists in Detroit, so the pictures had to do more than one job. The class shoot gives her marketing material for the teaching side, the thing she can run every time she opens a new session. The rest is the personal side, out front of her car and on nights out, because the people who book her follow the person as much as the hair.
